DESCRIPTION:COASTER CAR DERBY\nWilmore’s annual Coaster Car Derby is scheduled for Saturday\, April 26th\, on E. Main St. Registration and qualifying tests start at 11 a.m. and racing begins at 1 p.m. Due to the extensive preparations for this event\, E. Main St. from the Post Office to the railroad tracks will be closed from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. \nRegistration forms will be available on day of event at the Registration/Info table starting at 11 a.m. Note: registering does not guarantee participation as many cars are sponsored by businesses who already have drivers in place. As vacancies become available\, drivers will be pulled from the registrations. There is no fee to participate. \nThere will be food trucks plus regular businesses will be open. Bring a chair and enjoy the fun!

SUMMARY:Community Flower Sale
DESCRIPTION:Every spring on the first Saturday of May (also known as KY Derby Day)\, the Wilmore Community Development Board sponsors a one-day community flower sale. This year’s event takes place May 3rd\, 8 a.m. to 12 noon\, in the Goble’s parking lot on E. Main\, adjacent to the railroad tracks. There will be a large variety of annuals in hot and cool colors\, sun and shade loving varieties. In addition\, there will be some perennials and hanging baskets. These are always very healthy plants and are reasonably priced. This is a rain-or-shine event!
