Each display\, and the works therein\, serves as a bridge between the seen and unseen\, drawing hearts toward the ultimate source of all beauty and creativity—Jesus Christ\, who deeply desires an intimate\, transforming relationship with all who seek Him. \nCurrently and throughout the Lenten season\, the Gallery features the photographic work\, Lengthening\, by Wilmore’s own Keith Barker\, Professor of Photography at Asbury University. \nBeginning on Sunday\, April 12 and running through May 18\, in conjunction with the 150th birthday of our city\, the gallery will feature many works of visual art\, in a variety of media\, by Wilmore artists past and present. \nThe gallery (in the church foyer – on the main level of Building A) is open whenever the church is open\, Sundays from 8:00a – 1:00p\, and again from 4:00p – 7:00p\, Wednesdays from 4:00p – 8:30p\, and during normal business hours – Monday through Friday\, 8:00a – 1:00p. DESCRIPTION:Visit an authentic caboose in downtown Wilmore. This former Southern Railway bay-window caboose was donated to the City of Wilmore by Norfolk Southern. It is a mini museum featuring an array of railroad memorabilia\, plus historical items from High Bridge and Wilmore. Outside  the museum there is a seating area which allows trainspotters an up-close view of the many Norfolk Southern trains passing across E. Main St. in Downtown Wilmore. The museum is open on Saturdays\, 10 a.m. to 12 noon\, from May through end of October.  It is also open during special city events and festivals\, as well as by special arrangements. \n

SUMMARY:Railside Caboose Museum
DESCRIPTION:Visit an authentic caboose in downtown Wilmore. This former Southern Railway bay-window caboose was donated to the City of Wilmore by Norfolk Southern. It is a mini museum featuring an array of railroad memorabilia\, plus historical items from High Bridge and Wilmore. Outside  the museum there is a seating area which allows trainspotters an up-close view of the many Norfolk Southern trains passing across E. Main St. in Downtown Wilmore. The museum is open on Saturdays\, 10 a.m. to 12 noon\, from May through end of October.  It is also open during special city events and festivals\, as well as by special arrangements. \n

SUMMARY:Paint The Town Street Banners
DESCRIPTION:Help Wilmore celebrate its 150th by painting street pole banners which will be hung on East Main Street in June. This event is free of charge and all materials are supplied.  Children ages 6 and up can participate\, as well as teens\, adults and seniors. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
