DESCRIPTION:Our 3rd Annual Little Sweethearts Valentines Dance will be held on Friday\, February 6th from 6:30pm to 9 pm at JCTC Central Campus (881 Wilmore Road\, Nicholasville\, KY).\nThis year\, we are offering a Dinner + Dance option for families to enjoy. Dinner will be a kid-friendly pasta bar (bread\, salad\, multiple pastas & sauces\, and drinks) before the dance begins served at 5:30pm. Dinner + Dance tickets will also give you early access to desserts\, snacks\, photo booth\, and all kids activities prior to our dance starting from 6-6:30pm. We will have a limited amount of space for our dinner + dance option so do not delay in registering and pre-paying for this ticket!\nCost:\nDinner + Dance= $40 per adult/child couple\, +$12 per additional person in family (must be prepaid prior to event)\nDance Only= $25 per parent/child couple\, +$8 per additional person in family (pay at the door)\nThis dance is open to the community and all family members are welcome to this event with their young child(ren) or grandchildren.\nAll money raised from this event helps fund travel opportunities through the JCTC FCS department.

DESCRIPTION:LEXINGTON\, Ky. – Low donor turnout during the holiday season has put a significant strain on the local blood supply. Blood donors\, specifically of type O and A- blood\, are needed this week to boost the source of lifesaving blood products for more than 70 hospitals in Kentucky. \nKentucky Blood Center’s supply of O- and O+ blood are in critical shape. KBC has less than a half day’s supply of both types. A- blood is in low supply with less than a half day’s supply ready to be shipped. Higher donor turnout over the remaining few days of 2025 is crucial to providing a healthy blood supply for local patients in need. \nOpportunities to donate at mobile drives can be found at:  my.kybloodcenter.org/donor/schedules/county \nBlood donors must be at least 17 years old (16 with parental consent)\, weigh at least 110 pounds\, be in good health\, show a photo I.D. and meet additional requirements. Appointments are preferred but walk-ins are welcome.
