DESCRIPTION:Join us in Downtown Wilmore and the adjacent Downtown Green for the 26th annual Arts & Crafts Festival.  Over 80 vendors are registered to participate\, featuring a wide variety of quality handcrafted items such as fiber arts\, photography\, painting\, pottery\, jewelry\, woodworking\, wreaths\, holiday decor and food items.  A variety of food trucks will be on the food court – Rice Street.  For children there will be pony rides\, a magician’s show\, and the Caboose Trackside Museum.  Beginning at 3 p.m. grab a chair and enjoy the lively sounds of Power Play\, a rock\, soul and funk horn band playing hits from the 60’s and 70’s.  performing on E. Main Street.

DESCRIPTION:In commemoration of National Public Lands Day\, we invite you to join the National Park Service (NPS) at Camp Nelson National Monument for the planting of a pollinator garden starting at 10:00 am on Saturday\, September 27\, 2025. Our pollinator garden will contain 23 different types of long-lasting\, resilient wildflowers that are native to Kentucky and the wider Midwestern region. Not only are these beautiful flowers visually attractive\, they also provide a nutrient rich source of food for Kentucky’s pollinators.  By creating habitats dedicated to our precious pollinators\, we can protect the biodiversity of these keystone species.  \nDuring this volunteer event\, we will construct two garden beds\, paint\, prepare and place soil\, and plant seeds that will bloom in Spring. The event will take place next to the Visitor Center. Participants should wear pants\, shirts\, and closed-toed shoes they are comfortable getting dirty. Participants may also wish to bring water and sunscreen. Latex gloves and tools will be provided. \nThe volunteer event is free and open to the public! #NationalPublicLandsDay #NPLD

DESCRIPTION:The 3rd Annual Jessamine County Agriculture Tour will be held on Friday\, September 26. The tour will start at 8:30 am at the Jessamine County Extension Office at 333 Fairgrounds Way and return at 4:30 pm. Participation is limited to 40 persons\, so reservations are on a first come\, first serve basis. Please Call the Extension Office at (859) 885-4811 to reserve a spot. Lunch will be provided\, thanks to a generous donation by the Jessamine County Farm Bureau and the grilling skills of the Jessamine County Cattlemen’s Association members. There will be an optional wine tasting at the Ghost Fox Winery at $10/person\, paid directly to the winery.
