More Tales – Wilmore Storytelling Festival

More Tales celebrates the revival of the storytelling arts over the weekend of September 20-21, 2024. Storytelling fans and newcomers to the festival will hear master storytellers with decades of experience. This year will see the first Kentucky Liars Contest on Saturday afternoon. Spine Tingling Tales, a crowd favorite, begin at 6:30 on Friday night September 21.
“Our imagination is captured by a story well told,” said Ed Bryson, the festival’s director and one of the featured storytellers. “It is a thrill to see people lost in trance as they hang onto a story’s plot line.” Five master storytellers will perform from the festival’s stage.
Wilmore is known for family friendly events, said Judy Woolums, Wilmore’s Community Development director. “We are very excited that the More Tales Story Telling Festival has become a featured event in Wilmore.” Storytelling fans and those new to the art can attend the festival free of charge thanks to our generous donors and sponsors.
