Railside Caboose Museum

Visit an authentic caboose in downtown Wilmore. This former Southern Railway bay-window caboose was donated to the City of Wilmore by Norfolk Southern. It is a mini museum featuring an array of railroad memorabilia, plus historical items from High Bridge and Wilmore. Outside  the museum there is a seating area which allows trainspotters an up-close view of the many Norfolk Southern trains passing across E. Main St. in Downtown Wilmore. The museum is open on Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 12 noon, from May through end of October.  It is also open during special city events and festivals, as well as by special arrangements.
