The 2017 Wilmore Summer Concert Series will conclude this Saturday evening, 8/26, with the annual “Picnic Under the Stars” on the Downtown Green. The event will be catered by local “Entertaining Angels” caterer with serving starting at 6:30 p.m. At 7 p.m., the concert will open with local BSA Troop 707 presenting the flag and pledge. Then Wilmore’s favorite big band, The Metrognomes, will take the stage.
The dining tent will open at 6:30 p.m. Local caterer “Entertaining Angels” will be serving ham, mashed potatoes, rosemary green beans, dinner roll and butter ($12); assorted soft drinks and water ($1); assorted cakes/fruit ($1). Cash or checks only.
At 7 p.m. Wilmore’s favorite big band, The Metrognomes, will take the stage to perform under the stars!
The concert is free but attendees are encouraged to bring a donation of food or pet food for our local agencies.
Finally, we give a thank you to the Jessamine County Fiscal Court, the Wilmore City Council and Highbridge Springwater who have made this summer of free music on the Green possible!
